country's offshore oil and gas licensing round is now closed and awards
have been made and will announce winners on Monday Jan. 12.

Port-of-Spain -- Jan. 9, 2009 -- Companies on the Pt Lisas Industrial Estate have been hurt by falling
prices and are losing millions of dollars. Declining orders for
products have now forced energy producers to shut down operations or
bring forward maintenance work because of thinning profits, low demand
and dipping prices for ammonia, methanol, steel and urea.
